ORYX - Diploid Italian Ryegrass
Oryx is a early-medium maturing, diploid italian ryegrass developed in Switzerland for increased forage matter production, improved disease resistance and excellent winterhardiness. Oryx has a very low tendency to form seedheads in forage aftermath which increases quality. Swiss trials have shown that Oryx has higher sugar contest than other diploid varieties. It’s resistance to rust, leaf spot, and mildew allows it to maintain plant health and produce high quality forage throughout its growing season. Oryx has deep roots and excellent seedling vigor during establishment and superior early spring growth. Oryx has a high level of nonstructural carbohydrates and good palatability making it an excellent choice for early spring grazing or haylage.
